KJORGERDEM

Kjorgerdem encompasses the area south of the Skjolder Mountains and sits between Eldingard, Ingersol, and Hala in ‘The Chin.’ The kingdom has mountain ranges, forests, and at its southern border, jungle.

In its beginning, a time now called the Age of Legends, Kjorgerdem was an area where warring tribes survived by raiding and selling slaves. Great warriors held positions of power through brute strength.

Jerrick Gounouf eventually united the tribes. He became their king and founded the city of Kongurheim. United under King Gounouf, they claimed the lands now known as Kjorgerdem. Then came the Age of Expansion. The Kjorgerdines, under the leadership of Konungur Pwyll fought his war with the Dragon Queen and freed the lands that have become Eldingard, Ingersol, and Hala. His decisive victory found such favor among the eastern humans that Pwyll was crowned the High King of Eastern Aeralon.

Now, Kjorgerdem is in decline. Decades have passed. High King Konungur Pwyll is dying. The legendary conquerors of the eastern lands have grown old. Younger generations have inherited rulership, forming a hierarchy of jarls, but most of these children are lazy and privileged, bragging of brave deeds they did not commit, and clinging to a glorious past they were not alive to see. Most of the houses are only concerned with political intrigue and placing their families in positions of influence and wealth. They are squabbling elitists who parade about as though they were powerful warriors, but it’s a charade only they believe.

Places of note include:

  • Kongurheim: The largest city in Aeralon, and the capital of the eastern lands.

  • Hamerhas Falls: The Fallandi River is the border between Kjorgerdem and Hala. The falls take the river into the sea. Though not the largest of Aeralon’s waterfalls, this one is noted to have a deep cave system that opens behind it.

  • The Border Statues: On either side of the border between Kjorgerdem and Eldingard, there are two plateaus. Massive statues of the two kings greet all those who enter the country.

  • Viddakko Port: Sitting next to the Halan border, the port has as many Halans as Kjorgerdems. It is a port where anything can be found for the right price, and the seller may be merchant or pirate.
